There are 2 roses I would like to find. One is Sweet Valentine, a Hybrid Tea. I bought 3 plants through J &P in 2000. All 3 died. All I have left from one plant is sucker growth. The other rose I want to replace is a floribunda, I think. It is called Grand Finale.

Any idea where I can find them?

I found a Tiffany hybrid Tea at Michigan Bulb, but it is a weak plant and I think it will die. Any other places to find a robust Tiffany?

Thank you!

Jackson Perkins discontinued Sweet Valentine, and I'm sorry to say I don't know anyone who has picked it up.

On the others if you select roses from the left side bar, enter the name and then use the 'Available From' tab a list of nurseries offering  the rose will appear.

Best of Luck

Wendy,

Thanks, again. I was hoping someone would know about the Sweet Valentine. I absolutely loved the color pink...

I jotted down a few nurseries that I found using the "available from" tab.

Happy 4th!

Are you sure that it's not called "Grand Prize"? A floribunda rose that's creamy white with a really nice old rose scent , leaves are dark green with reddish hints. If you bought through J&P that's probably what it was called, that's where I bought mine. I think they are offering it this year. Good Luck!

Sweet Valentine is a grandiflora which JP introduced in 2000. Grand Prize was introduced in 2005, is a floribunda, and lighter pink.

JP does rename roses frequently, so I can see where you might think these were the same.

I have what I am told is a Tiffany, very fragrant, pink, hybrid tea. Unfortunately, I bought it years ago from Home Depot where it was sold as a "white" rose! I have been told that Tiffany is a favorite of the box outlets (but so are mistagged plants!) I grow this rose in northern (NOT hot) MI. But if it survived last winter, it'll be a miracle! Good luck with your seach...and let us know if you succeed.

Reply to "WRONG PLANT!"

Well, That is certainly succinct! Inasmuch as I have never grown Amalia, have never been colorblind, and submitted this picture with a question as to the name of the rose, the comment is less than helpful, however.
Perhaps someone can help me get the picture deleted from here and moved to the heading "TIFFANY"?? That has been the best, and most common, opinion so far

Corky.....

If you uploaded your photo...btw it's a beauty......to the rose page, you are the only one who can edit or delete the photo. So, if you open it, you should see a delete key/button which you can use to remove the photo. Then, please do upload it to the correct page.

Smiles,
Lyn

This is a "white" (!) rose I bought several years ago at an outlet such as Home Depot or other "garden center". After several years of producing only one or two blooms a year, it has, this year, produced seven in June and another seven in August!  They are an exquisite pink, high bud, with a looong stem on a bush about 4' tall and 2' wide, with disease resistant foliage (okay, I did spritz it once or twice with a fungicide.) of medium green.  The fragrance is astoundingly strong and sweet! Can ANYBODY identify this rose??

Wow, some of those pictures do look a lot like my rose..even the picture of the bloom taken after its prime looks very much like mine do after their bloom is a bit past.  Is ''Tiffany'' extremely fragrant?  Mine is just unbelievable: even the old blooms are still fragrant!  I always considered ''Zephirine Doughin'' to be the most fragrant rose of all ( all mine anyway), but this pink puts even that to shame!Thank you...and while this may be the answer, I hope people will keep giving me more ideas as they think of them.

I grew Tiffany for years before losing it this last Winter. It is a very fragrant rose at all stages. It blows too fast to make a good cut rose. I enjoyed it best in the garden.

Sounds more and more like y "mystery rose"!  Thank you (It smells good for a long time in a vase even though it doesn't keep looking fresh, I've noticed)

Box stores like HD, Walmart etc are known for selling mis tagged roses.

I think it looks like Chicago Peace.

I've heard that, about box stores, more and more.  I now buy almost exclusively from Nancy Lindley at Great lakes Roses.I think Chicago Peace is much fuller than my rose, which has only 25 or so petals.  But the petals are yellow at the base like C. Peace.  What's with all the partly white blossoms among the photos of Chicago Peace?  Is it known for that?  Weird!
