Origin:
Bred by Rodney S. R. Francis (New Zealand, 1958).
Introduced in New Zealand by Frank Mason & Sons Ltd. in 1961 as 'Cresset'.
Class:
Grandiflora.  
Bloom:
Scarlet.  Strong fragrance.  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: up to 45" (up to 115cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
