Origin:
Bred by Elisha J. Hicks (United Kingdom, 1922).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1923 as 'John Hart'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Pink.  Cherry-pink.  Opinions vary fragrance.  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered to cupped, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Short, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Dark green, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:
Said to be a 'Killarney' type or an improved 'Lady Battersea'
