Hello, fellow rose lovers. I am looking for a nursery in southern California where I can purchase "Our Lady of Guadalupe" in a 36" - 2 yr. tree rose. Help! I can't seem to find this...even J & P only carries it in a 24" patio rose. A floribunda as beautiful and disease-resistant as this is, ought to be able to be found somewhere in a standard tree rose I should think. Please write back ASAP. Thank you so much.

Use the name search to find this rose and then click the Available From table to see a list of suppliers.

Thank you Admin. I already did that, but could only find the phone numbers for two of them and they are located back east. The other nurseries listed (some of whom were in California), had no phone numbers or e-mail addresses to get hold of them. Thank you for trying to help me though. I do appreciate it.

Dear Mark:

My sister, Kathy, is retired and lives in Minneapolis, and since visiting me recently in California and seeing my 80+ rose bushes, has decided she wants to start growing roses again, like she did many years ago in Illinois. However, Minnesota has a different (and shorter) growing season than Illinois, and therefore Kathy would really appreciate it if she could communicate with a fellow Minnesotoan (you) by e-mail or phone, to help her get started. Please respond, Mark, and let me know if that would be okay and how she could get in touch with you. Thank you so much!

I am looking for an ivory or cream hybrid tea rose and grandiflora rose of exquisite form and color to use in a bed of peach and orange roses (made up of floribundas, hybrid teas and grandifloras) to carry out my theme in the bed of "Peaches and Cream". Can someone help me? I am fairly familiar with hybrid teas and grandifloras, but am not aware of any ivory or cream roses in this category, except for perhaps "Whisper", which to me is more white than ivory or cream. The color of the floribunda "French Lace" is the best description of the color I am looking for in these two roses (1 hybrid tea and 1 grandiflora). Thank you so much in advance...I really appreciate it.

Bonnie..........

Have you tried the advanced search feature here on HMF? It has been recently updated and the staff at HMF are working hard to put all of the characteristics you might choose for your search into the database.

Tonight, just for fun, I did a search for grandiflora and hybrid-tea, white and white blends. The search resulted in hundreds of roses. Of course, not all of the roses are available in the United States as this is an international site, but there were plenty of roses for you to review. I did not check for anything beyond color and class. A short list is:

Adrainana
Alliance Anastasia
Matterhorn
Crystaline
Mint Julip
Athena
Renaissance
Fresh Cream
Ginger Hill
Monsoon
Pristine
and the listings go on...

As HMF continues to upgrade the database these searches will become far more valuable to you, but at least the site can give you a starting point.

Good luck with your roses.
