John Lewis Childs catalog 1899 Winter Gem—New: offered now for the first time. A Tea Rose of remarkably strong and vigorous growth and a prodigious bloomer all the year. It flowers all the time during winter, hence its name. The blossoms are borne on long, graceful stems, are of large size and of a lovely crimson-pink color. Buds are perfectly exquisite. It is the strongest, hardiest, most vigorous and rapid growing Tea Rose in cultivation. Strong plants, 30c. each.
