Origin:
Bred by Samuel Darragh (1932-2019) McGredy IV (1988).
Introduced in New Zealand by McGredy Roses International (New Zealand) in 1995 as 'Marvelle'.
Introduced in Canada by Hortico Inc. in 1997 as 'Marvelle'.
Introduced in Australia by Treloar Roses in 2002 as 'Tropical Sunset'.
Introduced in Canada by Sheridan Nurseries Ltd. in 2005 as 'Rainbow Niagara'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Yellow, orange-red stripes, light yellow reverse, ages to lighter .  Moderate, fruity, spice, sweet fragrance.  17 to 40 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped, high-centered, reflexed bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Tall, dense, upright, well-branched.  Large, dense, leathery foliage.  

Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Very vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: rust resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
