Introduced in United Kingdom by Lee & Kennedy / Vineyard Nursery Hammersmith in 1813 as 'Sageleaf Moss Rose'.
Introduced in France by Louis Noisette in before 1820 as 'Mousseuse à feuilles de sauge'.
Introduced in France by Calvert in before 1828 as 'Mousseuse à feuilles de chanvre'.

Carmine-pink, ages to lilac . .  Average diameter 1.5".  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Mossed buds.
