I did get fresh seeds from Rosa Persica again, last year. They are from May 2005 pollination around Taschkent, again brought to Germany by my friend, who is now married & lives there, far away in middle asia. This one here is best of these newer Rosa Persica seedlings from 2006, now it is about 1 year old in may 2007 and its about 25 cm in hight (thats 10 inches if I converted this right).
So far, I got no seedlings from own Rosa Persica crossings with other wild or garden roses - but I got 3 seeds by pollinating one flower in 2006 (my only flower so far, you can see it here as bud on the fotos!) with a mixture of rose pollen from 2006. And I hope these 3 seeds will germinate, too. But its a bit like "gambling", to do so. ;-)
