This is more like the real color of the rose... in contrary of many too light red (on HMF posted) photo's.

A lucky shot! I don’t think I had to recalibrate the colours (or not much, anyway) after taking it — from memory, the light was just right.

Thanks. This rose does have pretty spectacular colours, so it’s good they showed up in the pics.

I found mine dead yesterday in the garden. Didn't survive the late cold winter and the long dry hot period. Alas it was grafted on R. canina 'Laxa'. It always struggled to survive, from the start.

Sorry to hear that. Mine is grafted too (presumably on rosa laxa as well), and has been happy over the unusually hot summer — but I grow all my plants in pots, so I have to water religiously even in a normal summer...

When You did water the plant religiously, it has to be obliged to feel "Blessed".
