Bred by Unknown (before 1836).
Introduced in France by Baumann frères in before 1838 as 'Général Bertrand'.
Class:
Damask, Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Crimson or light pink, lilac outer petals.  Large, double (17-25 petals), reflexed, scalloped bloom form.  Glandular sepals, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Medium.
