'JACmoonsee' rose Reviews & Comments

I finally took a chance on this one. I wanted to a strong bicolor red, and unfortunately there really are not any on the market right now, other than 'Love' and 'Typhoo Tea'.
So, the blooms are superior to what JP shows on their sight. The form is actually quite nice, even in dry heat. The red is actually true red, and the silver stays silver. The growth is linear, and the vigor is decent for its class. The form is actually quite good. I have no idea why JP uses such a formless photo.
After enough examination, I think it might possibly be a sister seedling of Smokin' Hot. In very cool weather, there is a hint of hand-painting, which makes me think it comes from a paint background like 'Paul Gauguin' does. It opens much better in this climate than 'Moonstone' does, and also seems to lack to blind shoots 'Moonstone' is prone to when grown here.
This rose would probably be more popular given a better introduction photo imo.

The codename seems to imply "Moonstone seedling" so that makes sense, but gives little to work with as to what that seedling was.
Disappointing because the color seems to be like Double KO. If that was the case, I would have actually considered buying it. But I wouldn't buy a gamble of a red with a funky commercial photo based on nothing but "Moonstone seedling".
