Some people think “Peace’s Best” to be the gallica ‘Orpheline de Juillet’.
I lean towards it being a hybrid china because of the smooth receptacle. Comments would be appreciated.

Comparison of “Peace Best”
Sepals only have a few folioles.
Stipules are very finely glanded, only visible under a hand lens.
Blooms at a distance seem very like Russelliana, but redder.
Russelliana:
Sepals are quite foliated.
Stipules fringed.
Blooms at a distance are purplish.
