"Some New Roses" [News of the National Rose Society's Metropolitan Show]
Two new roses which won cards of commendation are also worthy the attention of rose amateurs. [...] A beauty of carmine rose tint called Mrs. Henry Weller also won well deserved commendation. It possesses a striking feature of attractiveness in the dark red hue of its very vigorous shoots.

The National Rose Show
A card of commendation was awarded to each of the following:
Mrs. Henry Weller.- This is the result of a cross between Mme. Abel Chatenay and Mrs. W. J. Grant, and the colouring is best described by saying that it is intermediate between the two parents. It is not a very full flower, but of lovely rich salmon rose colouring. Shown by Mr. Henry Weller, Leatherhead.
