Difficult to capture the true color even with color correction. Reddish purple grape with magenta highlights, but not as blue as 'Midnight Blue.' Large flowers, as if Coiner crossed 'Heirloom' with 'Intrigue.' I'm beginning to like this rose as it matures into its second year, strong growth with good foliage.

I'm not sure if the blue wash over the base color intensifies in cool or hot weather. We've had odd weather this week with cold fog and drizzle in the morning burning off to sunny & warm afternoons.

A very bright three inch flower. The center petals have a light russet blush similar to Hot Cocoa, while the guard petals have blotches of violet slate, the base color is deep pink bordering on red. Fragrance is fruity musk of medium strength. This is the first bloom from a bareroot plant and shows promise.

the name, JC's Rose, is highly recommended, thought is good as Intrigue or better, as you may see the previous 2 photos and this one.
