This splendid new variety is a rival of La France, Duchess of Albany and similar pink kinds, which it excels in freedom of bloom in the open ground. It is thoroughly distinct and is worthy of a high place among this charming class. It is the issue of numerous hybridizations from various seedlings and is the result of years of labor. It has a splendid constitution, rather dwarf habit of growth, and produces a great abundance of lovely buds and flowers all through the season. The flowers are finely formed, with petals of wonderful substance, full and double; color, bright, lively pink, which remains true to the last; fragrance similar to cherry blossoms.
