‘Mary Delahunty’ – 1983. (‘Daily Sketch’ x ‘Impeccable’) x ‘Red Planet’. Large Flowered Bush rose. Pointed bud. Double, fragrant, dark red flowers of medium size, fully recurrent. Dark green, smooth foliage, reddish new growth, Tall and bushy. Flower: 35 petals, 80mm, singly. Bush 1.5m x 1.2m.

‘Mary Delahunty’. Modern, large-flowered Hybrid Tea, dark red, repeat-flowering. The shapely buds of this rose open slowly to large, full blooms that hold their color well. The fragrant, dark red blooms are borne on long stems on a tall and healthy bush with abundant dark green foliage. Flower production is well above average and disease resistance is excellent. This, possibly the best dark red rose bred in Australia, was named after a very popular Australian television newsreader. Zones 5-10. Bell, Australia, 1990.
