Known as ‘Tara Allison’ in the United States, this rose is named after the daughter of the American introducers, the Justices of Justice Miniature Roses. A cheery geranium red colour, ‘Tara’ is covered in bloom and makes a great show in the garden. Disease resistant.
Book (1985) Page(s) 60. Nola Simpson. The Trial Grounds 1984-85 As always there are some roses which miss out getting awards and may be considered unlucky. In this category I would like to mention two of the miniatures that were entered in this trial, Sam McGredy's Macwaiwer only just missed getting an award. It was particularly attractive in the first year of trial, may be the hot weather this year did not suit it - attractive low growing bushy plants smothered in scarlet flowers.
