'Grace Archer' rose Reviews & Comments

This rose seems to have been unknown outside of Australia. Does anyone know who Grace Archer was?
The rose was catalogued in the 1875 Annual Report on the Melbourne Botanic Gardens, and before the actual listing of the plants, there is a "list of donors" that includes a W. H. Archer of Melbourne who donated plants and seeds. Also catalogued was a Pelargonium 'Grace Archer'.
I did see a brief bio of a William H Archer, an Englishman who moved to Victoria in the 1850's, and whose only surviving child was named Grace, but have no idea if he is the W H Archer who donated plants and seeds to the Botanic Garden, or if his daughter (probably born in the 1860's) is the Grace for whom the rose is named. Possibly that was William Archer, the Tasmanian botanist, architect and politician?

I don’t I am afraid Virginia. I added most of the early references some years back and never saw anything. (Thanks, by the way, for adding all the Brisbane Botanic Garden references).

Oh, well. I had romantic visions of a young Alister Clark being told that it was an Australian rose, and thus inspiring him to eventually become a celebrated rose breeder...
