‘Red Nella’ – 1988 . ‘Alec’s Red’ x ‘Camp David’ (name is Allender spelt backwards). Large Flowered Bush rose. Double, fragrant, high centred, bright red flowers on long stems, exhibition form, fully recurrent. Leathery, smooth foliage, medium-sized leaflets. Flower: 40 petals, 100mm, singly. Bush 1.5m x 2m.

'Red Nella' Modern, large-Flowered Hybrid Tea. Mauve/Light red. Repeat-flowering. The name of this rose was derived by reversing the breeder’s name. It bears light sparkling red, slightly fragrant flowers that have a good form. They are double and come singly or in up to small clusters on a tall upright plant. There is a heavier display of blooms in spring than the rest of the year. It is a good choice for overall garden display. Zones 5-10. Allender, Australia, 1991. Parentage Unknown.
