Origin:
Bred by Sommesson (France, before 1826).
Class:
Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Pink, lilac shading, light pink edges.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Parentage:

Notes:
An earlier 'Diadème de Flore' by Descemet (later sold by Vibert) was replaced by a larger rose of the same name by Sommesson. The earlier was then calles "ancien" [old Diadem], but the two roses often confused in literature.
