Dr. A. S. Thomas, Balwyn, Vic. New Roses in Victoria. George Heers. H.T. (Armbrust, 1961) The form is a little better than that of Charlotte Armstrong and the colour is lighter and softer. A great grower with long stems and plenty of flowers. A fine garden rose and occasionally up to show standard.

George Heers (H.T.) Armbrust, 1961. A Queensland-raised rose released by us last year. The delicate veined, rich pink shows just a faint touch of soft apricot shading on the inner petals of the bud, with the base of the petals in some instances faintly tipped yellow. It has a very nice bud formation, opening gradually to a nice double bloom which holds the rich colouring without fading throughout the flowering process. 8/6, .
