Introduced in United Kingdom by T. Hilling & Co. in 1950 as 'Souvenir de St. Anne's'.

Light pink. Strong fragrance. Semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Armed with thorns / prickles.

Height: 5' to 7' (150 to 215cm). Width: 4' (120cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 5b through 10b. Shade tolerant.

Most Sources assign this rose a date of circa 1950. See References tab for the reason it is given an earlier date here.

"Named for the estate "St. Anne's", near Dublin, of Lord and Lady Ardilaun (Sir Arthur Edward Guinness, 1840-1915). A portion of the former estate is now public park with a modern rose garden. 'Souvenir de St. Anne's' is ascribed to the the estate Head Gardener, Andrew Campbell, who died in 1917."
