Climbing Souv de Madame Boullet   (HT)  Fragrant. Habit 6.  On all-round excellence, of foliage, vigour and flowers this is probably the best yellow variety in the lists. Healthy, clean grower, and blooms borne in great profusion on long stems.  They are deep cadmium yellow,  long in bud, fairly full, and with a rich tea scent. Splendid in all zones.
Book  (1945)  Page(s) 30.

A Climbing Mdme. Boullet behind the rose beds has done very well and confirms my opinion that this is the best early bloomer we have in N.Z.

'Clg. Souvenir de Madame Boullet' There is quite a number of yellow climbing roses, but not one which really comes up to this variety for general all-round excellence. It is a vigorous grower with clean foliage and produces extremely long buds of rich, deep cadmium yellow, opening into fairly full flowers with a rich tea scent.
Book  (1936)  Page(s) 69.

New Roses 1932.  Clb. Souv de Madame Boullet Clb. HT. (Howard & Smith 1930). F. 6. There are quite a number of yellow climbing roses but not one which really comes up to this variety for general all round excellence. It is a vigorous grower with clean foliage and produces extremely long buds of rich deep cadmium yellow, opening into fairly full flowers with a rich tea scent. It is particularly free flowering and in our opinion one of the most outstanding varieties introduced for many years. Highly recommended for all climates.
Website/Catalog  (1932)  Page(s) 38.
