Bred by J.H. Faassen-Hekkens (Netherlands, 1929).

Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red.  Velvety.  Strong fragrance.  Medium, single (4-8 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Glossy foliage.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Possibly dedicated to the mother-in-law of the breeder, Maria Sibilla Hermans (b. February 15, 1851 Tegelen) who had married Gerardus Hekkens (b. 1848) on May 2, 1874; or to Gertrudis Hekkens, the elder sister of the Breeder's wife Agnes.
