Bred by Tributien / Trébucien (France, before 1827).
Introduced in France by Prevost fils in 1827 as 'Provins Rose Feu'.

Bloom:

Red, lighter reverse, ages to cherry-red. Fire-red. Very large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b and warmer.
