This rose is now on the Harkness website under the name Guy's Gold. I quote: "'Guy's Gold' is a celebration and memento of the Guys Hospital Nurses League. The League was formed in 1900 to benefit nurses at Guy's Hospital, and enable them to maintain links with the hospital and colleagues on a social and professional level. During its nursery trials, at the start of each season 'Guy's Gold' would stand out like a beacon, blooming well in advance of its neighbours. Repeat flowering follows quickly so that a season can produce several waves of bright, canary yellow. This rose always looks fresh and cheerful, it's suitable for any garden situation, and a great source of cut stems. Colour tone is rich, eventually softening to light yellow. Growth is erect and densely branched, bearing a dense foil of glossy mid-green foliage as a backcloth for the blooms".

According to the label on the one I received Harmatch is a Hybrid Tea. Also good for cutting, according to Harkness. To be unveiled at the Chelsea Show in May 2008, I quote!
