This is not a great photo, but it does show that this still very immature plant is making nice, airy sprays of several blooms. Photographed in mid-October, in cooling weather, which gives the blooms nice color. This vigorous plant appears to be very remontant, and I am hoping it will be a climber. Early indications are that B.A.M. will be very resistant to powdery mildew and to rust.

In several months in Coastal Southern California, it has proven to be very vigorous, and to have excellent repeat bloom. Sprays on a still immature plant are made up of as many as 5 blooms. Blooms run upwards of 2.5 inches across. The moschata fragrance is VERY intense. It appears that this will be a vigorous climber. It has had no sign of any disease problems. -- Jeri Jennings, Camarillo, CA |
This is a terminal bud, on a still-immature plant. I feel strongly that, once mature, B.A.M. will be something like a pale apricot version of "Secret Garden Musk Climber."
The fragrance is INTENSE moschata -- and it is clearly remontant.
