'Vivarose' Reviews & Comments

It seems that there are two cultivars circulating in France as 'Vivarose' [Croix, 1964]. I do not have Croix's catalogue; has anyone checked the HMF photographs and descriptions?

The date for the ARS Modern Rose 12 database does not give an introduction date for the rose listed as 'Vivarose', but the entry is dated January, 2009.
The entry reads as follows, but I do not believe it applies to the 1964 rose:
HT, mr, Croix; flowers bright red, long lasting; free-flowering; vigorous growth

Bill Grant gave me Miessler's Rosenlexikon years ago and the 1964 rose is listed there. I have put it in as a reference and done my best with the typing, but it may end up as double dutch. If so, please advise and I will delete it.

Was not Miessler associated with Sangerhausen? This might explain why he describes the rose as salmon-pink, while Croix's nursery and my picture in Caen show it as dark pink. In other words, the plants growing at Sangerhausen are incorrectly named.
