Origin:

Bred by Tim Hermann Kordes (Germany, 1992).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 2004.

Bloom:

Cream. Cream white with soft apricot coloured center. Mild, sweet fragrance. 45 to 50 petals. Average diameter 2.25". Medium, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters, cupped-to-flat, ruffled bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Medium, pointed, ovoid buds.

Habit:

Bushy, upright. Medium, glossy, dark green, dense foliage. 5 leaflets.

Height: 32" to 47" (80 to 120cm). Width: 2' to 39" (60 to 100cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders. Disease susceptibility: blackspot resistant, mildew resistant. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

‘Margaret Merrill’ x ‘unnamed seedling’ in May 1995. First selections were made in May 1996. In July 1996, budded onto Rosa canina rootstock and grown in open. In 1997 second selections were made. The seedling was tested until 2004. Introduction and first sales took place in spring 2005.
