'My Sweetie' (Bendiez) Benardella 2004. Miniature. Parentage: 'Ruby' x 'Timeless'. Health: 6.2 (good). Fragrance: 2.6 (slight). Reports: 18. Plants: 51. Garden: 5.9. Exhibition: 7.7. Height: Short-Medium.
A very nice well shaped miniature red hybrid tea bloom. The plant is not over vigorous and stems may sometimes be a little weak. Occasionally plants can be slow to establish and better results may be produced with budded plants.

'My Sweetie' (Bendiez). Red Parentage: 'Ruby' x 'Timeless' . Breeder: Benardella 2004. Garden: 4.7 Exhibition: 7.3. Height: Short to Medium. Health: 5.0 Fragrance: 3.0. Northland: Beautiful exhibition shaped blooms, but the stems are a bit weak, good for floral art. Auckland: Quite vigorous, healthy, throbbing vivid red blooms. Napier: Never did flourish.

Northland: Beautiful exhibition bloom in a velvety red, only fault is the stems are a bit weak. Auckland: Well named, outstanding shapely blooms, not vigorous, enjoys a sunny part of the garden.

fragrance 3.9: Bright red blooms. Kaitaia: Nice blooms, light shade of red, not a vigorous plant. Northland: Good grown in pots, has some nice exhibition blooms, only fault the stems are a bit weak, always in flower. Auckland: This is 'My Sweetie', a beautiful bud, bloom and fully open, long lasting. Manawatu: Welcome as red exhibition bloom for shows, not much on own roots, love to get a budded one.

'My Sweetie'. (BENdiez) Benardella: 7 Reports: 21 Plants: Garden 6.2, Exhibition 6.8: Short/medium: Health 6.5: fragrance 1.3: Bright red blooms. Northland: new bushes, fabulous red flowers inclined to burn, slow to get going, short stems as yet. Auckland: very healthy foliage, nice shaped HT blooms, good repeater. BOP: first year bush, so far quite happy with flowers and repeating. Manawatu: poor growth after two years, like a miniature 'Loving Memory'. Canterbury: popular in the US but haven't found it to be that good.

Deep red, velvet buds of classic form open to bright, hot fire engine red blooms with pointed petals. Flowers are borne on single stems above a compact bushy plant that is clothed in medium green disease-resistant foliage. Excellent container plant for the patio or as a border in the garden.
