Origin:
Bred by Richard & Betty Walters (New Zealand, before 1999).
Introduced by Unknown (New Zealand) in 1999 as 'Bett's Winter Holly'.
Class:
Miniature.  
Bloom:
Orange or orange-red.  None to mild fragrance.  41 petals.  Average diameter 1.25".  Medium, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, armed with thorns / prickles, narrow, upright.  Small, glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: up to 18" (up to 45cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower, garden, hedge or landscape.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
