This rose grows to be extremely big in my garden here in Italy. The idea of "using it as a clematis"seems to me to be madness! I planted two of them,thinking they'd only get to be 3-4 meters tall; I was so wrong. Even the idea of not pruning them at all seems quite impossible to me now; they just get too big-at LEAST 7meters tall ,and flopping all over!
