Bloom:
Red to deep pink. Medium to large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Hardy.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
At this stage there is no real proof that 'Sir John Franklin' was bred by T. Johnson, but it may just be possible. Thomas Johnson came to Melbourne with his family from his native Cambridgeshire some time around 1850, and by the early 1860s he was running a rose nursery,.
