Included patent states: "Origin: Seedling.

Parentage:

Seed parent.--`Yellow Perfection` (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 1,083).

Pollen parent.--`Cocktail` (unpatented)."

Unsure which cocktail, but patent states the intended outcome was yellow-orange HT so likely not the 1957 version. I would assume it is the 1976 version, which is a yellow florist HT. The breeder was known for florist roses of the 1970s-90s.

Thank you, parentage added. Agree that pollen parent probably the later florists' 'Cocktail', as the 1957 climber is patented, and not unpatented as stated in the patent application for DEVoran.
