The so-called Everblooming Roses include the Hybrid Tea and Pernetiana groups. They do not bloom all the time, but if kept healthy and growing steadily, one crop of flowers succeeds another at brief intervals.
Elli Hartmann. Hybrid Tea. (Welter, 1913.) Very large, pointed buds and full, well-shaped blooms of clear old-gold, developing lighter shades of pink and yellow; mildly fragrant. Growth remarkable; foliage especially good; hardy and persistent in blooming.
We have found this Rose to act differently in different locations. Some places it is exceedingly good and produces magnificent blooms, at others it balls very badly. But in general it is best in autumn everywhere.

"New Roses for the Garden" by Charles E. F. Gersdorff
Yellow Roses. These are my favorites; perhaps because good yellows are scarce. [...] Elli Hartmann (H. T.), from Welter, Germany, 1913, is a rich old gold in shade. It is distinct and fine, of medium to large size, giving an average amount of bloom which is very durable; in growth is vigorous and bushy.

Roses Worth While for Everybody by George C. Thomas, Jr.
The Best Forty-Eight Garden Roses First or Southern Division*, Yellow Section.
Elli Hartmann. Hybrid Tea. Old golden yellow; mild perfume; thirty-two blooms throughout the season; growth very good, tall and fairly bushy. A good cut-flower on account of its wonderful lasting qualities.

*It should be noted that these forty-eight varieties are also recommended by Mr. Thomas as best for the "Second or Moderate Division." — Editor.
