Book (Dec 1998) Page(s) 419. Includes photo(s). Mixed Marriage. Modern, cluster-flowered floribunda. Light pink, repeat-flowering. This rose, which sported from ‘Bridal Pink’ has soft pink flowers striped with a much deeper pink. The striping can be very variable: some blooms can be almost all pale pink, while others can be mostly deep pink. The attractive, pointed buds open to large, well-shaped blooms. Flower production is high and there is a quick repeat, although in hot weather 'Mixed Marriage' can lose much of its color and look rather bleached out. The bush has an identical growth habit to the original rose, and occasionally it will revert back to the original. ‘Mixed Marriage’ is a good rose for those who are keen on striped varieties. Zones 5-10. Ruston, Australia, 1987. Sport of ‘Bridal Pink’.

Book (1988) Page(s) 33. Gerrard Williams, Waikato. David [Ruston] is propagating a sport from 'Bridal Pink'. It is a striped cerise and white rose and he has named it 'Mixed Marriage'. He mentioned that he has used the two roses in a floral arrangement with a shotgun - a rather interesting association.
