This rose is lovely and the blooms last forever, on average looking relatively fresh for at least 2 weeks. This rose is also a black spot magnet, so if you live in an area prone to black spot and you garden organically, this rose is not for you. It defoliated mid summer in 2007 and never grew any replacement leaves the whole rest of the season. I can't recommend this rose to anybody that does not spray, there are better roses that shrug off a little black spot and look every bit as pretty in pink.

I was surprised to read this comment just now. Granted, I live in somewhat inland So. Cal., but we do get BS on roses in this area at times. This rose has been quite healthy for me (I don't spray), and I must say the beautiful clusters of roses it produces far outweigh any minor problems I've experienced with it (it's in a sheltered spot surrounded by other roses and tall perennials and gets less than the best air circulation). It shows up several times a year on "My favorite rose today" list.
