This spring, mine was scentless during the cool spring, but moderate rose (same type as Fragrant Cloud) when it hit over 80F here.

Edit: Even warmer, the color takes on a coral red hue. Instead of fading or purpling, like many do.

Edit 2: Culled this one this week. I didn't mind that the blooms were small and that the plant was essentially a small grandiflora. Kind of like Shreveport or Kardinal 85. However, it seems to get bad BS here in wet summers, as well as minor mildew. The blooms did eventually have fragrance, and the form was always cute, but it wasn't enough to deal with the downside.

I'm not sure about the fragrance, but Caritas is an orange rose, definitely not dark red.
