Wichurana Ramblers in Germany ... 'Taunusblümchen' [Weigand, 1906]. 'Turner's Crimson Rambler' x 'Blanche Rebatel'. The flowers open deep purplish pink, the colour of 'Zéphirine Drouhin', and fade to medium pink with whiter edges. They are small (4.5 cm), double, with neat circular rows of petals and a sweet musky scent. Each cluster bears ten to twenty flowers, but these are produced in vast quantities and seem to cover the plant with colour. 'Taunusblümchen' grows vigorously to 3-4 m. From: Charles Quest-Ritson, Climbing Roses of the World, Portland, OR: Timber Press, 2003, p. 178.
