Orange or orange-red Hybrid Tea.
Registration name: Princesse Marie José (pernetiana, Klettenberg, 1924)
Origin:
Bred by J. Klettenberg-Londes (Belgium, before 1924).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1924 as 'Princesse Marie José'.
Introduced in Netherlands by F. J. Grootendorst & Sons in 1925 as 'Princesse Marie José'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1926 as 'Princesse Marie José'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Vermilion, orange shading, deep yellow undertones, violet-red highlights.  Moderate, fruity fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright, well-branched.  

Height: 2' to 32" (60 to 80cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
