The comparatively new rose City of Norwich is the most lovely bit of colour one could wish— a rich deep glowing crimson with fire in it. My plant had a bad time in its second year, so I have not seen enough of it for testing out. It is said to be very free. It has hardly — if ever — been mentioned in rose notes, and I wonder why.
