A single bloom that just unfurled. 5/1/18 San Diego County, California. My Flamingo Gardens Tea is just beginning to bloom for the first time again this year. 2.5 year old plant. I love the dark stems and canes. Flamingo Gardens Tea is especially lovely when the clematis, ‘Madame Julia Correvon’ that I planted with it opens its wine colored blooms. The combination of the clematis blooms, the burgundy canes and stems of ‘Flamingo Gardens Tea’, and FGT’s yellow blooms edged in various tones of salmon, peach, or reddish pink is wonderful.

Flamingo Gardens Tea is in full sun all day long, and does just fine. It’s even in a container, and those are harsh conditions for a rose here! It seems to thrive in my hot and dry climate.
