Blooms carry 32 petals, and if it will grow it will be a favourite. It looks, however, more like a dry climate sort.

Bud egg-shaped, always opening well, carried on stiff stem. Flower large and full, about 40 petals. Colour deep yellow on reverse of petals, and glistening carmine-scarlet on the inverse. A most striking colour combination that keeps well and always comes true. Very free and continuous in bloom. 4/- each. Medium growth and probably successful in Pernetiana climates. Quite a startling colour.
