A silver medal was awarded to 'Augusta Louise', a yellow blend H/T from Tantau Germany submitted by Brundrett Roses. It also won the Hamilton N.Z. award for the best hybrid tea.

Stewart Pocock of Pocock's Roses, Romsey, Hampshire and Rachel de Thame with a classic hybrid tea rose named especially for her, 'Rachel' (shown above) is a feminine rose, a confection of cream, pink and peach with a sweet perfume. When fully open,the rose has an old fashioned appearance. Showing above average resistance to fungal diseases, with glossy mid-green foliage, the variety is also grown successfully on the continent for cut roses. Presented by Pocock Roses and Eurosa, bare-root plants will be available by mail order this autumn.
