Notes:
The Plant Science Dept. of the Nova Scotia Agriculture College evaluated 58 English Roses to assess their hardiness and disease-resistance. Their results can be found at: http://www.nsac.ns.ca/nsac/ps/annual96/mapple.htm. Shropshire Lass was found to be winter hardy.
Trinity Farms lists this rose under the Albas and describe it by saying that it has pale blush-white single blooms in spring, followed by splendid hips. It makes a huge arching shrub of great quality.
