Hybrides de wichuriana sarmenteux. Citons dans ce groupe Chaplin's Crimson Glow, de Chaplin BROS, qui est un rouge cramoisi foncé à oeil blanc, tout à fait différent des Hiawatha et American Pillar. C'est un grimpant non remontant à grand effet.

(Chaplin Bros. 1930) 6.  A fine spring flowering climber producing deep crimson blooms in the typical bunches of this type.  The flowers are semi-double and when open, show the white base of each petal which forms a distinct contrast to the rest of the flower.  Very promising.  E.
