'Alice Stern' rose Description

ARS:
White, near white or white blend Hybrid Tea. Registration name: Alice Stern
Bloom:
White, cream center, salmon-yellow shading, carmine-pink highlights. Strong fragrance. 30 to 40 petals. Very large, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Large, long, pointed buds.
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, upright, well-branched. Bronze-green foliage.
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
