The photos on HMF for this rose seem to be of two different varieties. Only one is as below. I have a rose growing that I think is Caramba, and it looks like the one shown on page 26 of Trevor Griffith's book "The Best of Modern Roses - a selection for New Zealand"; by this I mean that it clearly has a strong white reverse to red petals in a high centred flower. An early autumn flower of mine has 36 petals but I can't find a reference quoting petal numbers. Can somebody please provide more authorative photos for this variety. It seems to have vanished from the commercial world, and I think that is a great pity because our plant flowers all season long, tolerates shade, is very healthy, and gives a great display. Tantau issued at least 3 roses under the name of 'Caramba'. Most of the roses pictured as Tantau's 'Caramba' on this page seem to be the rose by Interplant. We will move the photos there.
