One day Georges Delbard paid him [Joseph Chabert] a visit and found amongst his seedlings an orange - red polyantha of unusual colouring and a velvet red hybrid tea . Later these were put on the market as ' Souvenir de Joseph Chabert ' , 1956, ('Français' x unnamed seedling) and 'Maurice Chevalier', 1959, ('Incendie' x ('Floradora' seedling x 'Independence')).
