Peter Beales introduced 'James Mason'... in the year of the great actor's death, 1982... blood-red. Parentage: 'Scarlet Fire' x 'Tuscany Superb'... Modern Shrub... its interesting parentage makes it three parts Gallica. The flowers are fragrant and brilliant blood-red.
